We went thru a lot of trouble selling our home before we met Martin. We wanted to sell fast so we could retire in NC. Our house was an older (40+ yrs old) house. We were talked into trying to sell it at auction and went thru the process in Jan and Feb of this year. It was a mess only two people showed up on auction date and one was a relative by marriage. So after the initial dismay we sat back regrouped and started doing some work to get our house on the market. Painting etc... We started talking to realtors and honestly I was very hesitant to put the house on the market thinking we would not be able to sell it for what we needed to have a good down payment for our retirement home in another state. We had only owned our house for 9 years so only a small equity in the property. With all that being said, we met several realtors and talked to a lot over the phone.
